The Door to Narnia: What I Found

Dear Friend:

Confession.

If you know the movie Narnia, then you know that during a game of Hide and Seek, Edmund found the ultimate hiding place.

He opened the rickety closet door, certain it would provide the cover he needed to win the game. As he journeyed deeper into his quest to win the game, he begins to discover a weird sensation as he notices pine needles and forest beginning to reach into the closet where he was hiding. He keeps moving toward the back…

He continues moving forward and then discovers a whole new world. Dazed. Confused. He wonders what just happened to him.

The Lesson is This

Sometimes what we WANT, is not what we find. And sometimes what we find, is what we NEED.

Take my weight loss journey for example.

I had one simple goal: To Lose Weight. That’s it. That was the main reason.

I wanted to look better. Feel better. Be heathier. And look in a mirror and honestly…to not tell myself “I look like a big, fat tick”)

So began the journey.

The quest to lose 30 pounds.

And then crazy things began to happen. More books were consumed. More prayers were lifted. More verses were internalized. And I began to rely on God’s power, instead of willpower. And it worked! What should have been the “go to” from the beginning for controlling my appetite…was simply an “afterthought” to help me.

And it was once I walked the rest of the way through that tunnel and came out the other side. Only then, I entered into a whole new world just like Edmund when he discovered Narnia.

If you know a Christian over 40 wanting to lose at least 12-15 pounds over the next 90 days without counting calories, taking drugs, or giving up their favorite foods, then email me at: brandon@brandonyeager.com

and I can get them more information.

Make it a great day.

Brandon
